pretty RADICAL news to report...

So, we've had a really good secret we've been keeping, but tonight is the night to share the news...

Becca and I just signed a contract with KOKKA!

Who? where? when?  whaaat?
Kokka/Seven Islands is a fabric company that liked our work and wanted us to sign on with them.  Insert us dying of excitement.  They are a Japanese company who produces some of my most favorite fabric, and really, we couldn't be happier about the union.  We've been in communication for the last few months working out details, and finally, yesterday we sent of the signed contract.  Boooo yah!

Truly, Becca and I thought that we were going to just be One Hit Wonders with Rainy Days and Mondays.  We really thought our "fabric career" was over.  I know, I know. One day I'll tell more about how all the recent excitement all came to pass, but for now, it's celebration time!!  Bring out the root beer!

Once upon a time, we traveled to Quilt Market (spring 2011).  If you saw the post I did about the event, you'll remember I spent the most time and took the most pictures of the Kokka booth.  It's because I'm in love with them.

Let's show you some pictures of some of my favorite samples of Kokka fabric, shall we?  Great.
Ever heard of Echino?  Oh, she's awesome and she designs for Kokka.

Or have you heard Melody Miller?  Oh, she designs for Kokka.  And, she is ridiculously nice.

of maybe you've heard of Heather Ross?  Yes, you guessed it. She designs for Kokka.

I love their work.
Oh, here's a more photo of that I took at Quilt Market last year.  It's another Kokka print.

They have such different and unique designs... things that you don't see other companies producing and honestly, to say we're thrilled is an understatement.

Dreams really DO come true.
Grab that star, hitch a ride and...  ok, ok.  I kid.  I have no idea what I'm saying.

Anyway, this means that a new line is being printed THIS spring.  That's right.  It will be ready to rock and roll Spring of 2012.   I'll let you know more of the details when I can, but I had to share the news.
