okay, this won't take long, I promise.
I'm desperate for advice.
Which is more important?
STYLE or COMFORT
...especially when choosing a sofa.
If you can't have it all, which weighs out in the end? I think I know, but would like some opinions... asap.
help me, please.
sincerely,
stressed out sissy

Well for a sofa... if it's going to be used a lot (for movie watching, etc) in a main area of the house I'd say comfort!
If it's somewhere that it won't be used much I'd go with style. Good luck! You have great taste, so either way will fabulous!
COMFORT!!! Nothing beats a nice comfy sofa.
well for your stage of life, i would opt for COMFORT. With kids, it'll just get thrashed either way...so... ya.
Comfort. Hands down. You'll spend more time sitting on it than looking at it.
comfort, especially when your kids are just going to ruin it anyway. save the nice expensive couch when you are in the house you want and you can decorate it the way you really want to. Plus, I imagine you are still wanting more babies? Nothing is worse than being pregnant and all you want to do at the end of the day is sit and veg and your couch is uncomfortable. haha maybe it is just me. :)
Even more important than style and comfort is DURABILITY! Especially when you have little kids! Will it hold up to being jumped on, poked, spilled on, colored on, etc. Can you wipe it off easily? We have a nice big sectional and the fabric is falling apart and the kids pick at it which makes it worse - definitely durability... Good luck!
I like what erin said and Lyssa. I vote comfort.
How ugly is the comfort one? I feel shallow - after seeing all the comments... I was going to stay style. But I think erin has it right.
But don't do what we have - neither style nor comfort (it was free... can't complain)
I say cleansability is the most important thing in a sofa in a house with kids.
I hardly ever sit and watch TV so I really don't know how comfy our couch is.
The spell check says clensability is not a real word but I totally know it is.
I have to say comfort. When you have kids the microfiber fabric on furniture is the way to go also. We got our sofa 7 years ago and when I wash it it looks brand new and with out fail everyone that sits on them doesn't want to get up.
Honestly-comfort. I have no kids and still think comfort is a priority...especially after a long day at primary :)
Comfort and MICROFIBER!!!! Microfiber is wonderful, add it to scotchguard and your couch will be beautiful for a very long time :)
