the toothpaste thief

Dear Matilda,

Your father and I are really proud that you enjoy brushing your teeth so often. Truly, it's a dentist's dream. However, it's a little gross that you feel you have to sneak into the bathroom, grab the toothpaste, run to the corner of the bedroom, and proceed to squeeze it into your tiny fingers and then lick them.

Honestly, it's gaggy, and I'd appreciate it if you'd stop.

Sincerely,
your mom

I have been BATTLING to get Caleb to brush his teeth (strong arming him...the whole bit) for nearly 2 1/2 years. So, I guess I don't know which is worse... not brushing, or brushing maniacally and sneaking toothpaste. I can see your frustration.

HA! My Adam does this. One night we found that EVERYONE'S toothbrushes and toothpaste had vanished and were later recovered under the boy's bed. Silly kids.
I like the announcements. I now have a pile of unfinished and unsent Christmas cards - 2 years running - maybe I'll stuff them in the box with our wedding thank yous...
